Parts we install are covered for three years. Labor for 90 days. Here is exactly what that means and how to make a claim.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This is the warranty that comes with every job by Edge Garage Doors LLC ("Edge"). The same terms are printed on your invoice. By accepting service from Edge you agree to them.
1. Coverage and term
Edge provides this limited warranty for three (3) years from the date of installation or service. It covers replacement parts supplied and installed by Edge at the service address on the invoice. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser at the original address of installation.
2. Covered components
- Torsion and extension springs
- Cables, rollers, hinges, brackets, and tracks
- Door panels (when installed by Edge and noted on the invoice)
- Motor units and rails of openers (LiftMaster or equivalent, if installed by Edge)
- Wall stations, sensors, and related garage door opener accessories
All components must be installed by Edge Garage Doors LLC to qualify.
3. Labor
Labor on the original service is covered for 90 days from the service date. After 90 days, a covered part is replaced at no cost for the part; labor to install it is quoted separately.
4. What is not covered
- Labor services provided more than 90 days after the original service date
- Damage caused by improper use, negligence, accidents, abuse, or external impact
- Electrical surges or failures due to weather, lightning, or power supply issues
- Failures due to lack of required maintenance, such as lubrication
- Cosmetic damage including scratches, fading, or minor dents
- Damage caused by vehicles, tools, or objects hitting the door or opener
- Modifications or repairs made by anyone not authorized by Edge Garage Doors
- Parts not supplied or installed by Edge Garage Doors LLC
Any of the above voids this warranty for the affected component.
5. Customer responsibilities
To keep the warranty valid, the customer agrees to: operate the door and opener according to the manufacturer's guidelines; avoid unauthorized repairs or modifications; notify Edge promptly of any issue and allow reasonable access for inspection; and keep proof of the original service (invoice or receipt). Failure to comply may end the warranty.
6. How to make a claim
- Call (512) 626-3469 or email [email protected].
- Give us your name, the installation address, the date of service, and a description of the issue.
- Edge inspects the system to determine whether the failure is covered.
- If approved, Edge supplies and installs a replacement part at no cost for the part.
- If not approved, Edge gives you a written explanation and an estimate for out-of-warranty repair.
7. Limitation of liability
This warranty is strictly limited to the replacement of defective parts. Edge Garage Doors LLC is not liable for property damage, personal injury, loss of use or income, or any indirect or consequential damages.
8. Transfer
This warranty is non-transferable. It is valid only for the original purchaser and only at the address where the work was performed.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Travis County, Texas.
Manufacturer warranties
New doors and openers also carry the manufacturer's own warranty (often longer on door sections and opener motors). That warranty is provided by the manufacturer under its terms and is separate from this one; we will help you file it.
